The PPRIME Institute (UPR 3346;) is a Joint Research Unit (JRU) common to the University of Poitiers, ISAE-ENSMA and the CNRS based in Poitiers. It was created in January 2014 by the merger of six previous research laboratories and it is now divided in three Departments: Physics and Mechanics of Materials (D1); Fluids, Thermal and Combustion Sciences (D2); Mechanics, Structures and Complex Systems (D3). The PPRIME Institute is the second largest French laboratory in Engineering, with almost 700 people working in it, including more than 200 permanent researchers. This institute has a strong expertise in developing collaborations with industrial partners (3 M€/year), and it gives a strong support for researchers involved in European projects.
