WP11

Introduction

WP11 is entrusted with the planning and execution of all activities associated with the exploitation of the project results. The primary focus of these activities is set on critical areas of exploitation for the entire value chain, i.e., materials manufacturers, component designers and manufacturers, and end users. The activities in WP11 will start with a preliminary evaluation of the exploitability of products & processes at the project outset, taking into account the state-of-the-art, and assessing the distance from the Gen-II/III LWR market for each ATF clad concept.

The main activities targeting the exploitation of results will commence in the middle of the project, after the rigorous pre-screening of ATF cladding material candidates and the identification of the well-performing material concepts to be irradiated in BR2. The specific objectives of WP11 include the evaluation of the scalability and sustainability of a specific technology for a particular end application; the evaluation of the impact of each new technology on the cost of the end product; the assessment of the market size corresponding to each end product; the definition of a licensing roadmap for the proof-of-concept ATF clads produced in the project; and the definition of a roadmap for the verification and inclusion of products & processes in the industrial codes of the concerned industrial sectors.
